About

Our Mission

We promote Eastern European culture, preserve national cultural heritage and build a stronger community by the performing arts.

Our Hitory

Dance Ensemble Kabluchok was founded in 2011 as a part of Cincinnati Jewish Theater under the patronage of the Jewish Community Center. The Ensemble was established by a group of enthusiasts and professionals who emigrated to the US mostly from the countries of the former Soviet Union. Our Dance group embraces cultural inheritance of both Eastern and Western Europe including elements of Jewish, Russian, Ukranian, Polish, and French culture, as well as that of America, our new home. Dance Ensemble is under the leadership of choreographer and lead dancer Denis Eremin.

A Jewish Community Theatre has been successfully working in Cincinnati for more than ten years, and accounts for more than twenty shows of different styles and genres performed from the stage of the Jewish Community Center of Cincinnati (JCC). Styles and genres range from deep theatric compositions and concerts to bright comedies, musicals, and even elegant cabarets. Shows are in English, Russian, and Yiddish languages.

Kabluchok participated in Cincinnati Jewish Theater shows such as “Sounds of Shtetl”, “Jewish Wedding”, World War II Memorial concert “Never again”, in regional festivals such as Cincinnati Russian Culture Festivals, Dayton International Festivals and many other shows.
